    Gulf Coast
soo I just came back tonight from a 4 day trip in mississippi. my family and I were just visiting one of my mom's friends there for the weekened. they have a nice house right on the beach. nothing too exicitng really went on, just some new experiences. went on a boat and did some offshore fishing. my beard was in full effect, glad it was bc i blended in well with other sea men. although, i got accepted a little too quickly with the others and when it came to my turn to tell a sailor story i had to bail..ok kidding..
i rode a jetski for the first time though, that was pretty sweet.. um lets see i never really went into the ocean bc im terrified ill be the next shark attack victim. screw that! im not ready to part yet with any of my limbs...had to hang out alot with my mom's friend's son. that really sucked..whats more annoying than a very energetic 10yr old kid? a very energetic ten yr old kid thats almost a blackbelt in taekwondo..i was pretty much his beating bag the whole weekened. it was really annoying but tolerable i guess. except when he kicked me in the nuts in my bathing suit. THAT hurt. so afterwards, the whole time i was around him, i guarded my hand close for protection. dude tried to "liu kang" me with a punch in the crotchal region whilst doing the splits; lucky for me, i blocked that bullshit. no joke there.

also checked out a couple casinos in Biloxi. i didnt fair too well over there, but its always nice to visit them. Lots of hot pu tang strolling around, i shouldve hit that shit up if i only had some "game" and if my mom wasnt around.

overall it ended up being a nice little excursion. the drive wasnt bad at all...i guess the only real low point of the trip was being forced to watch "Stealth" at the movie theater. that has got to be the worst movie ive ever seen in a long time. it seriously ranks up there with the likes of hollow man etc damn if only i could get those hours back..oh yea..

**SPOILERS** --Jaime Foxx dies less than midway through the movie(like anyone gives a fuck)--- so yea if you want to go see some real bad cgi, a horrible plot, some great cinematography of jessica biel's ass, jessical biel fighting off the whole north korean military, and jamine foxx..by all means, this movie will kick your ass.

    comfortable and furious
i think i played guitar for like 10 hours +(def. one of my longest sessions) the other night *ps; get a life greg* with a few a breaks here and there..of course i was at the studio for half of those hours. but now my fingers are hurting..ive been jamming with some friends here, but ive also been writing alot of my own material. kinda along the lines of jimmy eat world(post clarity) but heavier. im digging it, i just need to record all my ideas down and progress from there. but i dont have money yet to obtain the means for that to happen. i was thinking about this before, but if i hadnt gambled all my money away and just kept it like i originally had intended to, i couldve got my recording setup and a decent computer. basically, what ive been trying to get for a long time. who knows, i might have already had my own project going on. soo fuck you chumash haha..part of me never wants to go back there, then again another part wants me to go back and kick its ass, of course once i figure out how theyre cheating people but thats another thing that i wont get into now...

oh yeah and i saw punch-drunk love again and i have come to the conclusion thats its really a scIFi movie masquerading as a dark romantic comedy. dont believe me? well one of the chapters on the dvd is labeled "alien abduction." Also, the first chapter is labeled "Lena Drop"..and this is what paul thhomas anderson had to say in an interview when he was asked about people's claims that Lena is an alien "I stand by that, how could someone as beautiful as Emily Watson not be from another planet?"... not to mention there are alot of other small subtlies layered all over the film to give credit to this notion. i kinda like this idea in film making of meshing a main plot with a very subtle relevant or irrelevant storyline, its kinda like a different take on the movie twist like where the guy wakes up to find that he just dreamed the whole thing( which btw should be done more often lol) but with this idea the twist here is not really the twist youre normally accustomed to seeing its not even a twist at all even though youre suprised to find out about it. the movie mentions nothing at all about this and its so hidden you rarely catch it on your first or second viewing. but once you find out.. there you are left with a totally weird underlying plot that has no effect on the main one and that was put in there specifially for who knows what reason at all with absolutely no explanations except your own. so you just have to learn to accept it as any other normal occurence in the film... its as if the movie was just a big magic eye book. if that makes any sense? *example: blurry images= main plot **wait 30 seconds** "wtf is a brontosaurus doing inside my page!" =hidden storyline* ahhaa annndd now im rambling ok time for bed

    day 39863 of warped tour
man its been awhile..but yea im in washington DC right now at a mall using the internet for $5 an hour. lots of stuff to write about but i just havent had hardl;y anytime to get online. ive been super busy with this and all. so we had a day off today bc there was a hurricane heading towards virginia beach and so the show canceled for obvious reasons...lots of drama with our stage and us and teh stage with warped tour, just way too much drama in general. ill go into it when i have to write it out and not have to pay for it hah. im planning to fly back in late august after the tour is done and visit everyone back at home and especially my girlfriend whom i miss dearly. i can understand things being so hectic so far after all with this being myt first big tour and all..things can and will only get better and i thank her for her patience :)

im looking forward to seeing you all very soon..ill keep in touch!

    california aint too bad
yea so i moved to california. no biggie. i left on dec 1 just a little after midnight right after aaron and billy's party. i planned to leave a little earlier in the day but planning to leave and actually getting into my car and leaving are two different things for me. im late for everything, ill even prolly be late to my own wedding(my dad was haha)..anyways back at the party after all my friends but wes left, i decided to still stay and sober up bc i was pretty hammered. i like stayed there for an hour and was just thinking about things. all i remember before i headed out home was wes still chatting it up with the strippers and this black stripper chic hitting on me.

stripper:"hey sweetie how about i take ya back to another room with me?"
me:" oh im fine. um im just sobering up here before i leave."

stripper: "how about i sober YOU up?" or something like that

and she came back againnn and i just remember telling her i was moving to california and she says something like "woulndt you want to leave with a smile on your face"

so i pointed her across the room to wes and said "thats your man"..then i left right after that haha

the trip was pretty brutal since i was trying to do it non stop without any naps but alas i wussed out and pulled over on the side of the road at a gas station right when i got into california. i slept for about 2-3 hours then continued the trek. i got to my destination(santa maria)at 6:30am on dec 2 and just passed out on the bed. Things have been going alright here, couldnt find a job on time so that definately sucked. my nights have been pretty lonely, i think i shouldve made some friends/drinking buddies before i came out but o well bc ill be in santa barbara at the start of the new year and things will be alot better.
since its a higher cost of living here, they have these pharmacy stores like long drugs and rite aid that sell stuff pretty cheap...a 12 pack of keystone light is only $4.99 there. how fucking awesome is that?!? everytime i marvel at it i feel like wayne looking at that guitar enclosed in that glass case in waynes world. they also sell mickey's at pretty much any grocery store so that rocks as well. will anyone drink with me?...a downside to living in california is that they have bad mexican restaurants, well so far from what i have experienced. some places DONT offer free chips and salsa. like, you have to pay for additonal little bitch baskets of chips. so yes, its true, texas does host some of the finest mexican food around in the country. heck, we make it better than mexico can itself thats why its called "tex>mex". "what a bunch of sissies."

i fly back home on the 25th from lax to visit family and friends and i head out again back to SB right after new years. good times will commence. I havent really had the chance to explore everything santa barbara has to offer bc my time is very limited there for the time being but just strictly from the drives down i can tell its such a wonderful place to live. the scenery is just amazing there. i mean fuck, i made a transition from the gulf of mexico to the pacific ocean. Baywatch was filmed there! and my governor is the terminator. now thats pretty suite.

oh and check out the new band im in if you havent heard of them already. theyre called Staring Back and they have stuff released on Lobster records( ie yellowcard, for all the clueless ones out there heh) so yea i consider myself to be very fortunate to be in this position where iam right now. im in a band right now that has the ability to touch people's lives in a positive way just like bands have affected me the same way. i can tell you just being a part of that alone is worth more than money itself. its so much more rewarding because thats the biggest reason i wont ever regret beginning this new chapter in my life.

    He's ALIIVEEEE
Well shit. So much stuff has happened lately i dont even know where to begin. hmm... Mitch wrecked my car like a couple of weeks ago. Some lady hit him from behind and the rear bumper almost came off and then my battery went out when i tried to start it the day after all this. so i was pretty much stuck at home most of the time being gay. So i finally got it back today from the shop and im suprised to say that its back to looking like a semi-normal car because its all nice and clean and the front of it is finally fixed!. now to get some tinted windows...

I started painting my house in late march and now its almost mid november and im still painting...anyone wanna hire me?!? yea i know its pretty ridiculous. however, I have been doing alot of painting recently and I should be done fairly soon i think. I mean, honestly, i dont even know where i stand on a finishing date for this project. Im so dazed by it all. must be the paint fumes. Nah i doubt that. Nah i doubt that.

im one year older now, 22, man my sxe self needs a beer or six. its been ahiwle since i drank one haha. mad dawg. birthday's on your weekened rock. i had a kegger for my party on friday oct 10, had more than enough people for it to be floated but nooo it didnt get floated. me and a couple of friends came by the next nite and tried to finish it off. again, it didnt work. its like a never ending keg of beer.for most people, yea that would be a great thing but for me i really wanted this thing to be done with heh...

oh and aaron got a journal.

Divided we stand together we fall
I finally got to play with 30 foot fall tonite and numbers for the first time. it was somewhat memorable, although i wish it was with crash 81 than the other band. i talked to chris delron for a bit and we remminenced(sp?)about pinche flojo and the latch key kids etc. he used my rig since he had to go straight to fitz to play a set with los skarnales haha. after their set:

"hey have you played through a mark III before?"

"yea my buddy josh from bigwig has one."

"yea my triaxis is set on that mark III setting, do you think it sounds like one?"

    "no."

    har har har guitar humor

oh we had free beer tonite too. i went backstage to get one from the cooler and right after i picked one up some stupid girl from the band cmon cmon fucking CARDED me!! see i thought she was a girl working at the club, eventhough carding someone backstage seemed kinda odd, i still showed her my ID. i find out later in the night that she was in a band and that she was basically trying to keep all the beer for herself and her other gay rockabilly band members.

abortions for some; minaiture american flags for others
didnt really have an eventful 4th but im not complaining bc i honestly i didnt really feel like going out doing anything. so eat it. The highlight of my evening was watching T3. I came in with low expectations due to all the detractors of the movie and left the theater pretty shocked. Although Cameron couldve done a better job, the movie was still nonetheless good and i did find myself enjoying it. i thought the end was great, considering all the poor endings of recent movies. terminatrix was hot, annnd she was naked for a bit before killing someone. nice.

ive been jamming with a couple guys recently and we almost got two songs down. all we need now is to find a guy/vocalist who has THE voice, not as easy as you would think though..the house painting is coming around nicely, jsut finished half a room whewww. shit am i exausted, blahhh i need to fuckin finish this soon!

    "Bro Hymn Tribute" (Pennywise)

    To our best friend,
    Present past and beyond
Even though they weren't with us too long
Your life is the most precious thing that we could lose
While you were here the fun was neverending
Laugh a minute only the beginning
    Jason (my brother)
Matthew Thirsk this one's for you
Ever get the feeling you can't go on
Just remember whose side it is that you're on
You've got friends with you till the end
If you're ever in a tough situation we'll be there with no hesitation
Brotherhood's our rule that cannot bend
When you're feeling too close to the bottom
You know who it is you can count on
Someone will pick you up again we can conquer anything together
All of us are bonded forever if you die I die that's the way it is

    ...fuckers
